FSG90 GTRX 8.33 / 25 KHZ
VHF/AM Transceiver 6W – 50W
FSG90 GTRX 8.33 / 25 KHz
The FSG90 GTRX base station represents a new concept for ground-to-air-communication on small regional airfields, military, for oil rigs and ships and for airlines as a company frequency station.
Practically all user requirements are met by the FSG90 GTRX. The heart of the FSG90 GTRX is the new FSG90 VHF/AM Dual Mode transceiver. Its sophisticated technology covers the whole 118.000 to 136.975 MHz frequency range and is therefore operational on all 760 channels in 25 kHz mode and all 2.278 channels in 8.33 kHz mode.
Preselection of 8 memory channels with any out of 760 or 2.278 frequencies is a standard feature. In addition, the scanning function of any of the 4 pre-set channels, or of any frequency range with a user-defined upper and lower frequency scan limit allows continuous memory- or frequency scan.
The system is mounted in a 19" and 2 height units high housing, available as desk-top or 19" rack-mount unit.
The keypad on the front panel allows quick and simple operation. The two lines LC-display shows the selected operating mode and frequency.
The power supply is normally via the AC mains supply, an external DC backup can additionally be connected.
The basic version of the system is offered either with 6 or 10 Watt RF carrier power output (approx. 20 or 35 W PEP); the base station can be equipped additionally with a 25 W HF power amplifier (approx. 90 W PEP)or 50 W HF power amplifier (approx. 180 W PEP).
Sensible additional features and a complete pack of accessories allow this system to be used in almost every situation:
The transceiver may be controlled remotely by using a multi-wire cable with a distance range of up to 100 m connected to the desktop remote control.
A 2-wire interface and a remote control desktop unit with 2-wire interface are the option of your choice if remote control is required over larger distances.
The base station can be equipped optionally with AF interface technology in 600 ohm 0 dBm (775mV) for RX and TX.
The optional FSG90 GTRX tape recorder connection permits the AF to be recorded for documentational purposes.
When the optional internal battery (available only for 6 and 10 Watt versions) is used, the system operates reliably even in the case of a power failure, and as the base station is independent from the mains power supply, it can be used as an emergency station.

. I’ve been able to hear the alerting tnttsmiarer as far away as six miles. This unit operates on MURS channels which are in the VHF spectrum between 151.82 mhz and 154.6 mhz, respectfully. This means that this unit is also fully compatible with the Dakota MURS intercom system. I have both and have units in my Shop, Barn and House. I am able to hear an alert on all three and intercom as well. I almost never have any false alarms. I’ve mounted the alarm unit on a tree at about 4 feet elevation. The beam width if fairly narrow but detects cars, people or animals out to about 50 or 60 feet. One nice feature allows an external contact closure at all of the receivers when an alert comes in. This could be used to open a gate or perhaps another outside alarm or even a garage door. Lot’s of possibilities here. Dakota also makes a hand held unit that could hear the alert and also intercom with all the rest of the units in the system. Great for us farm operators that might be out in the pasture working. Care should be given when adding to this system as Dakota also makes a short range alert tnttsmiarer that looks like the MURS units. It is not the same and operates on UHF channels. Make sure the device stipulates MURS or VHF operation.Help other customers find the most helpful reviewsa0Was this review helpful to you?a0 | a0
